Crux X1 Assault Tent
The X1 Assault is an external porch version of the X1 Strike, featuring a sheltered entrance and small cooking area. Like its siblings, the X1 Raid and X1 Strike, it uses Crux's unique X-tex fabric. Offering significant improvements and advantages over the existing PTFE-type breathable membrane fabrics that are currently used.
The Assault is built around the same pole configuration as the X1 Strike (2 diagonal poles in external pole-sleeves + 1 internal pole at the head of the tent), but also features a small porch. The Assault thereby addresses one of the vulnerabilities of single-skin tents by providing full protection for the actual tent door. The porch, made of translucent Cuben fabric, also offers a useful covered storage area. As on all the X1 models, the guy points loop around the poles themselves, taking stress directly off the seams.
